However, in interviews given by Carr’s lawyer, it is obvious that he hopes to evade real prison time and that he will only be sentenced jail time served. Combined with a willingness to perform community service, currently residing in the Forsyth County jail and his decision to NOT post bond as well as a brief 30 day stint in alcohol rehab immediately after killing Casey, Tolly hopes that this will be enough to make him a free man. Statements made by Sean Bokhoven, Casey’s brother, showed a mixed reaction to the news of a guilty plea. While a guilty plea is good, in Sean’s opinion, Casey’s family would serve as better speakers to students about the deadly consequences of driving drunk. Also, in a somewhat perplexing action, Terry Grier, superintendent of the Guilford County Schools located in Greensboro, where Tolly Carr resides, sent a letter to the yet unnamed presideing judge, endorsing Tolly Carr presenting anti-drunk driving speaches to the driver’s education classes in his district.
